My Birthday present to myself

Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra - "Soul in the Hole"LP

The Dap Kings

Since you're sad about not seeing the show, here's a clip that I took to make you even sadder.

Can't Sleep

DivShare is light weight hurt. If you don't see the player you can either wait and hope it pops up or you can reload the page until it pops up. Kinda wack. It's free though.

The Bamboos - "Voodoo Doll"

Kashmere Stage Band - "Al's Thing"

Marlena Shaw - "Where Can I Go?"

Pete Jacques - "Love Cage"

Four Tracks - "Charade"

Experimenting with DivShare

Divshare allows me to store the files online. I don't think there's an expiration date for how long the file stays up. This should work better for some of you that can't make it to a computer right away.

If you want to download the track just click on the Divshare logo on the player. A new window should open up and click on "download original" on the right hand side of the screen. Let me know if you guys are having any problems with this.

Monk Montgomery - "I love you Camille"

Merl Saunders - "Easy Evil"

Dennis Coffey - "Never Can Say Goodbye"

Exotic Guitars - "Midnight Cowboy"

Eddy Senay - "Sarko East"

Shawn Lee & Clutchy Hopkins - "Till Next Time"

Willie Hutch - "I Wanna Be Where You Are"

"Lialeh"

FYI, whatever I put up on zshare.net should be available to download up to 60 days with no activity. After 60 days the link dies. That being said, if I put up any links and the link is dead let me know so I can re-upload the file.

Finally!

Menahan Street Band is a combination of The Dap Kings, El Michels Affair, Antibalas, and the Budos Band all put into one. I've been waiting for this album to drop and it doesn't disappoint. "Make the Road by Walking" was sampled for Jay Z's "Roc Boys." Hopefully you guys enjoy the album as much as I do.
